- The scientific study of sites through historical archaeology and the preservation of objects, artifacts, and archives
that document the military and civilian experience.
- The future publication of a variety of materials that shall provide a lasting reference of the knowledge gathered by the
Association.
- Future interpretive trail systems and markers for military, domestic and commercial sites currently neglected.
SBEA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and an affiliate of the Friends of Fredericksburg Area Battlefields.
All contributions are tax deductible.
Annual Membership is offered at two levels: General and Benefactor.
General membership is $35 and benefits include: The SBEA newsletter, membership card and
20% discount on SBEA publications along with advance notice of their availability.
Benefactor membership is $60 will additionally receive a set of 8 1/2" x 11" print portraits
of Generals Robert E. Lee and George Gordon Meade, suitable for framing. The portraits also come with a certificate of appreciation.
Under Internal Revenue Service regulations, the value of these prints, which is $10, is not deductible
as a charitable contribution. However, the remaining balance of your contribution is deductible.
